Riverside Drive Development Plan
The Project Team (including DBE Participant, Land Planning and Landscape Architecture team member, Site Design Studio, as well as Public Involvement team member, Asheville Design Center) was selected to assist the City of Asheville’s Economic Development Department to create “ready-to-develop” master plan options for City-owned parcels located East of the RiverWay within the River Arts District. The Riverside Drive Development Plan (RDDP) analyzes and recommends steps for developing the ten acres of property linking RDDP to the Transportation Network Plan (TNP), providing appropriate connections to the Clingman Forest and Town Branch Greenways and utilizes the preferred RADTIP alignment as the guide to development footprints or envelopes as well as related park and recreation amenities along the French Broad River between Lyman & Craven Streets.
