PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT

SDS works with clients to design and facilitate a participatory public involvement process.  We understand that public support is critical in completing and implementing public plans.  The challenge is to obtain input from all current and potential stakeholders, land owners, community groups and individual representatives.  It is essential to identify those key stakeholders and representatives, get the community involved early on in the process and layout an approach for continuous collaboration throughout.  We review the public involvement process with the client prior to beginning work and develop a strategy appropriate to each stakeholder, group or individual level of involvement to ensure that the needs of the community are adequately addressed.
